Senior centers serve as a gateway to the nation’s aging network—connecting older adults to vital community services that can help them stay healthy and independent.​

  • Transportation services

  • Public benefits counseling

  • Employment assistance

WHAT RESOURCES CAN I ACCESS THROUGH MY SENIOR CENTER?
Senior Centers are designed to enhance the quality of life for older people, supporting their independence and encouraging their involvement in the community. CLICK HERE to learn more.

HOW MUCH DOES MEMBERSHIP COST?
Memberships are generally offered on an annual basis through individual senior centers. Fees may depend on whether you live inside or outside the official catchment area of the senior center. If you are financially unable to afford the cost of membership, some senior centers have scholarships available. CLICK HERE to learn more.

GETTING TO THE SENIOR CENTER IF YOU CAN'T DRIVE
Contact your local senior center if you are unable to drive yourself to the facility. Many centers have a van service available for little to no cost. Most municipal bus services have routes that include the senior centers, and if you reside in Johnson County, Jonesborough, Kingsport or Greeneville, the MyRide volunteer assisted transportation program may be able to assist you. CLICK HERE to learn more.
